Mark K. McCown is the managing partner of McCown, Fisher & Cremeans LPA and has defended clients throughout Southern Ohio since 1997. A graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, he combines a national-caliber legal education with a deep, practical command of how cases actually move through the Common Pleas and municipal courts of this nine-county region.
Mark’s practice spans the full range of criminal defense — drug, assault, theft, weapons, and serious traffic and vehicular offenses — as well as the OVI defense work for which the firm is regionally known. As an NHTSA Field Sobriety Instructor, he is trained to instruct the very officers who administer roadside testing, and he applies that same insistence on procedural rigor to every criminal case he handles.
He serves as a Director of the Ohio Bar Liability Insurance Company and is an active member of the National College of DUI Defense. Clients describe him as thorough, candid, and relentless in holding the State to its burden of proof.
